The search for where the hell Cate has been putting her music has come to an end. In all seriousness Cate le Bon is changing her style from psychedelic folk to a neo-art pop/neo-psychedelic hybrid that confuses and intrigues the mind. This release might be small, but a continuation of Crab Day's style. Cate has learned a lot from DRINKS it seems and she's bringing it right to her main audience. Excellent release that spoiled me by being so close to Crab Day. Taransko
The title track is like a perversion of the outro of Talking Heads' "Psycho Killer", in the best way possible. I love her off-the-rails poetry, mixed with a keen sense of new-wave style. The sounds here are dry and bright, like a washed-out picture book from ages ago. Steven Moses
